Lester Peed is lifelong resident of Taylor County. He is a graduate of Butler High School. He began working with his two brothers at Peed Bros. Milling Co. in 1948.
He became President of Peed Bros., Inc. in 1985 and served at that capacity until January 1, 2017 at which time he became Chairman of the Board.

Lester has been very active in our community. He helped organized the Butler Volunteer Fire Department and served as Assistant Chief for many years prior to his retirement. He served as Commissioner to the Flint Area Consolidated Housing Authority, representing the City of Butler for over 50 years. He served as Chaplain at the Western District Detention center in Butler from shortly after it opened until it closed. He is an active member at Bethel Congregational Methodist Church. He also has been a member of the Gideon’s International Organization speaking and distributing Bibles for many years.
